Basic Obedience*
Basic obedience training for dogs is a fundamental program focused on teaching essential commands and behaviors necessary for a well-behaved and responsive pet. Consistency is key to successful obedience training. Handlers are encouraged to practice commands regularly outside of class sessions to reinforce learning and maintain progress. Short, frequent training sessions are more effective than sporadic or lengthy sessions.
The training begins with teaching foundational commands such as sit, stay, come (recall), down, and heel (walking calmly on a leash). These commands establish communication between the dog and handler, promoting obedience and safety.
Positive Reinforcement: Basic obedience training emphasizes positive reinforcement techniques, where desired behaviors are rewarded with treats, praise, toys, or other motivators. This approach encourages dogs to willingly obey commands and reinforces good behavior.

Basic Obedience will run for four weeks. Class will be limited to 5 dogs per class. *We must have at least 2 dogs in the class for it to proceed |
